Interest and purpose of the training

Participatory budgeting is increasingly seen as an innovation in local authority administration practices that can promote the principles of good local governance. It can make local authority spending more transparent and encourage citizen participation in decision-making on public resources and their mobilisation

The aim of this training workshop is to build participants' skills in the concepts, principles and methods of Participatory Budgeting and to support them in drawing up their local authority budgets using a governance approach centred on the needs of citizens and a transparent management ethic.
